| Customer Reviews: SPER pH meter June 24, 2010 Richard E. Duggan (Kaneohe, Hawaii) I bought this meter through Amazon.com. It appears to work well and is easy to use. The only thing that would make this product better would be the addition of a packet or two of calibration solution included when you buy it. You need to calibrate the meter before using it. Instead, SPER sent a free waterproof stop watch with my order, which I suppose would be useful for timing how fast my plants grow. But what I needed was calibration solution, so make sure you buy the solution when you buy the meter because the pH meter is useless without it.
Just pay more and get a good one May 15, 2010 Dave Beightol (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This unit is built very well, but trying to get it balanced and keep it balanced is a pain.
I am actually thinking about returning it. It takes more time to calibrate than it is worth.
Plus it looks like you will have to calibrate it every use. Might as well just use a liquid test kit.
PH Meter review April 26, 2010 William P. Buzbee 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The PH meter was a good price, but it seems too erratic in measuring the PH in water. I do not believe when it says a measurement, because it doesn't seem likely. Not sure if i would recommend this to anyone.

We use this instrument quite a bit, and it has done a good job for us. Great price.
